Project Summary:
In April 2023, Stirling Council announced a 12-month programme of works to improve and upgrade the area’s road infrastructure and safety. Acting as Principal Contractor, HFBC were awarded the barrier upgrade package at 3 locations around Borestone Roundabout.
We ensured full compliance with CDM Regulations in line with HFBC’s IMS system including ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.

A9/ 30
- To set up traffic management, check the TM once a day including weekends and to remove at end of works.
- To break out the old kerbline and remove to certified recycling centre.
- To lay new Titan kerbs with a new galvanised R35 staggered infill panel on the inside of the kerb and to transition from Titan kerbs back to original kerbs at the end.
- To fill from the back of the Titan kerb to the wall at rear with concrete.
- To core out the infill panels in tar at either end of the wall.
A9/40 & A9/50
- To move all TM from section 1 onto section 2 and 3, blocking off 1 lane.
- To take down existing barrier and remove to certified recycling centre.
- To dig out new barrier N2/W2 with terminals all concreted in with sockets, some straight and some radius barrier.
