Project: Raigmore Hospital Inverness Entrance Works​

Project Summary:

Kier Construction was contracted to improve the entrance at Raigmore Hospital’s main entrance (Zone 5), with the goal of improving access for patients, visitors, and staff, as well as emergency and other NHS vehicles. The project involved temporary pedestrian routes, restricted vehicle access, and the temporary closure of one set of entrance doors. 

Start of project: 10th March 2025

End of project: 2nd May 2025

HFBC works:

Kier Construction contracted HFBC to carry out the following works to the front entrance of Raigmore Hospital:-

  • Installing red and white, water-filled barriers and Heras fencing, ensuring that pedestrians were protected from plant equipment, while maintaining safe access to the entrance at all times.
  • Lowering kerbs
  • Installing concrete kerbs
  • Removing old slabs and installing new slabbed areas
  • Installing new parking bays
  • Reinstating pedestrian pathway to align with parking bay markings
