Type of work: Grade 2b SSEN Palisade Fencing, temporary fencing, stock fencing, various gate installations, GRP fencing, fence removal.
Project Summary:
The sub station upgrades are a critical component of the infrastructure supporting the offshore wind farms. These substations play a pivotal role in managing and distributing the power generated by the offshore wind farm.
Start of project: January 2024
End of project: June 2025
HFBC works:
HFBC were employed by RJ MacLeod primarily to supply and install the security fence but other works were added to the scope, including GRP fencing works and isolation panels.
Fencing: –
- Over 1600m of 2.4m High SSEN Grade 2b fencing with security spec double leaf gates and pedestrian gates
- Installation of GRP fencing and gates
- Over 1000m of other fence types such as stock, post and rail and temporary fencing.
