Keeping Nairnshire Colourful
Keeping Nairnshire Colourful (KNC) was established in 2007 as the successor to “Green & Beautiful Nairn”. KNC’s main aim has been to use existing floral displays and find other ways to bring all year round colour to the town and involve the community in its work, thereby fostering a sense of civic pride and putting Nairn on the visitors’ map.
Those who work with us on a regular basis include local groups and individuals who maintain beds or planters all year round. With the help of volunteers, we have planted thousands of bulbs around the town for spring colour, split and spread the snowdrops we planted along the riverside, adopted six seasonal beds, filled them with perennials and bulbs to give all-year interest and maintain them.
The Highlands of Scotland is a highly competitive tourism environment, so Nairn needs its year round colourful floral displays to encourage visitors to stay & passers-by to stop.
Strathspey Rovers Football Club
We are a local community club based out of Grantown on Spey and run by a group of volunteer parents and coaches. Our objective is to provide regular football skills, training and match play for children in P2 through to S4 from August to end of May annually. We aim to provide a safe, enjoyable and supportive environment for our club players and parents. We welcome girls and boys, regardless of ability. Our ethos is fun and participation through teamwork. We train throughout the school year in Cromdale and from October through to March on the all-weather pitch in Aviemore.
Strathspey Rovers is registered with the SYFA and all the coaches and committee members have met the disclosure requirements to operate under the Highland and Moray Firth Youth Leagues.
Nairn County Soccer 7s
Nairn County Soccer 7s ‘NCS7’ aims to provide a fully inclusive football development opportunity to all. NCS7 objectives are to help all pupils gain confidence, improve their football skills, learn the importance of team play and HAVE FUN whilst doing it!
NCS7 is a fully SYFA accredited club, affiliated to Nairn County FC.
Cromdale FC
Cromdale Football club is a welfare team who plays league matches on Tuesday evenings and cup games on a Friday. They are all local lads old and young that enjoy football and want to hopefully bring success to the club.
