Project Summary:

The Nairn Dune Resilience Project, led by NICE (Nairn Improvement Community Enterprise), is actively restoring sand dunes at Central Beach to protect against climate-related coastal erosion and flooding. Following a 2025 pilot with scrub clearance and marram grass planting, the project is expanding into 2026 with further community engagement, funding, and collaboration with local groups.

HFBC works:

NICE, Nairn contracted HFBC Ltd to supply and install chestnut paling fencing, with driven fence posts into the sand at Nairn beach.
