Project Summary:
On completion of a successful project together, MacAulay Askernish awarded HFBC a second project. This included the upgrade of a non-compliant barrier system.

HFBC works:
To supply and install the following:
- N2W1 concrete in with sockets.
- N2W1 bolt down using cast in cradles.
- P2 and P4 Terminals.
A BT service lay approx. 300mm deep the whole length of the barrier line. To get around this and to ensure the barrier installed was compliant, HFBC excavated down to expose the cable, removed the cable and excavated further down to make the depth approx. 650mm. The cable was put into a split duct and then dropped into the bottom of the trench. A concrete strip footing was poured with the barrier sockets and cradles installed into this.
