Project Summary:

Wills Bros were appointed as Main Contractor for The Greenhills/A726 Strathaven Road Corridor Improvements. This was an infrastructure project providing 2.8km of new dual carriageway. Road users and communities will benefit from safer roads, less congestion and improved cycle and pedestrian connections.

HFBC were awarded the subcontract for the pedestrian walkway handrails.

HFBC works:

To supply and install the following:

  • 69lm of 1.40m high Steel Pedestrian Parapet System
  • 56lm of Steel Handrail including 2no. rails on wall mounted brackets
  • 78.55lm of 1.40 high Steel Pedestrian Parapet System with 2no. Handrails
  • 88lm of galvanised handrail with posts to be set into ground prior to tarring
  • 11lm of galvanised handrail with posts to be bolted down using M12 x 160 resin anchors FTR Resin Studs HD Galvanised
